돌과 시간이 모여 벼루가 되다
만수산 지나 물길리, 물길리지나 천년사지 성주사터가 있다.
한때는 성주산문의 종가로 신라 선종의 등대가 되었다가
지금은 폐사지만 쓸쓸하게 산그늘만 세월을 친구 한다.
산그늘을 벗삼아 사는 세월만이 아니다.
그곳에 墨房 李東柱(46)가 있다.
묵방 이라 부르는 사람, 돌이 좋아 산에 들어 왔고 돌이 좋아 돌이 되어 버린 사람, 묵방은 보령(남포) 벼루의 장인이다.
벼루가 좋아 무작정 산을 헤메다가 성주산의 산곡에 발길을 멈추고 아에 성주 사람이 된지 십 수년...
묵방은 손작업에만 의존 하는 벼루 작업을 고집 하며 화석연(化石硯)의 일가를 이루었다
