歷(历, 지낼 력; lì) - 언덕 밑의 벼논을 사람(발)이 지나가다. 歷史(역사) - 인류 사회 변천의 자취. 또는 그 기록. 일본에서는 갑골문의 형태인 林(림)자를 넣어 ‘歴’으로 쓴다. 
曆(历, 책력 력; lì) - 언덕 밑의 벼논을 태양이 지나가다. 冊曆(책력), 陽曆(양력), 陰曆(음력). 일본에서는 暦으로 쓴다. 


戊(창 무, 다섯째 천간 무, 무성할 무; ⼽-총5획; wù)자는 본래 반달 모양의 글자 모양대로 도끼날이 달린 ‘창’을 뜻했다. 이것이 10간의 하나로 사용되면서 ‘무성하다’의 의미도 갖게 되었다.
戌(창 술, 개 술; ⼽-총6획; xū,qu̇)은 ‘戊와 一’의 결합 형태이지만 본래 둥근 도끼날이 달린 ‘창’을 뜻했다.
戍(지킬 수; ⼽-총6획; shù)는 ‘人(사람 인)자와 戈(창 과)’의 결합 형태로 사람이 창을 들고 守備하고 있는 모습이다. 

烕(멸할 멸, 불 꺼질 멸, 없앨 혈) - 무기(戌)와 불(火)로 멸망시키다. 
滅(멸망할 멸, 불이 꺼질 멸; miè) - 烕에 물(氵)을 더한 글자이다. 물(氵)과 무기(戌, 술)와 불(火)로 멸망시키다. 滅亡(멸망) → 멸망하다. 간체자는 ‘灭’으로 ‘불을 덮어 끄다’의 뜻이다.
자가 결합한 형태의 戍(지킬 수)자와는 구분해야 한다는 점이다.

이번 산불 발화지점은 강원도 고성군 토성면 원암리(江原道 高城郡 土城面 元巖里) 주유소(注油所) 앞의 변압기(變壓器)에서라고 한다.
대형산불로 바뀐 원인은 양간지풍(襄杆之風) 또는 양강지풍`(襄江之風)이라는데... 이 바람이 불면 순식간(瞬息間)에 초토화(焦土化)되고 만단다.
양간지풍은 양양과 간성, 양강지풍은 양양과 강릉 사이에 부는 국지적(局地的) 강풍을 일컫는다.
