수덕사 금선대 휘호
이 세계일화라는 글씨는 만공스님께서 쓰신 바 있는데, 현재 수덕사 성보박물관에 전시 중이다. 이 내용을 쓰게 된 계기는 요즈음 불교TV에서 영어로 설법하시는 미국 출신의 벽안의 현각 스님이 동안거 동안 정혜사에 계신 바, 마침 부탁을 하시기에 금선대에서 여러 스님들이 지켜보는 앞에서 써서 드렸다. 화계사에 있는 두 제자가 인갤러리 전시 동안 들린 바 있다. 현각 스님께서 좋은 붓을 사 달라고 부탁하기에 심부름 해 드렸고, 덤으로 내가 중국에서 사온 붓 두 자루를 덤으로 드렸다. 잘 하면 서예 인구가 또 한명 늘어나고 서구에 서예가 퍼질 수 있는 또 하나의 계기가 될 수 있겠다.
