손꼽아 보면 긴 여정이었다.
하늘 오늘 그늘에게 감사한다.
제1의 삶은 빡세게 공부하느라
제2의 삶은 열심히 가르치느라
나는 늘 미아였다.
이제 덤으로 주어진 제3의 삶은
자유와 평화 속에
더 고독한 사람이 되어
습관처럼 시에게 말을 걸다가
이따금 붓을 잡으리라.
오르기도 힘들었지만
내려가기는 더 힘들다니
한 걸음 한 걸음
붓을 지팡이 삼아
조심히 내딛어야겠다.
