지행 빈정경 도예전
흙과 흙 닮은 사람과 살고 있는 지행 빈정경님,
특이한 성에다 작업도 독특하시다.
처음부터 끝까지 매서운 손작업에 의한 도자기 창작.
감동한 나머지,
그 사이 몇 차례 축사를 얹은 일도 있다.
이번에는 타이틀(제호, 제자, 레터링)을 썼다.
혜화동 대학로 이앙갤러리(혜화역 1번출구에서 100미터)는
6월 27일부터 7월 1일까지 도예가 지행(芝杏) 빈정경(賓庭慶) 초대전을 연다.
빈정경님은 14년간 이른바 코일링(coiling) 도자기 작업만을 고집해 왔다.
도자기는 성형 방법에 따라
핀칭(pinching), 모델링(modeling), 점토판 성형기법, 물레 성형기법 등으로 나뉜다나?
맨손 위주로 작업하는 기법을 물레 도자기와 구별해 코일링 기법으로 부른단다.
빈정경은 작가 노트에 "물레의 매끈한 날렵함보다는 코일링의 투박함이 더 마음을 끌어당겼다. 컵 하나도 맨손으로 빚어 만든 투박한 코일링 도자기 컵이 좋았다. 이제야 도자기를 숙련된 기술과 기교로 만드는 것이 아니라 가슴으로 만드는 것이란 코일링 작품의 깊은맛의 깨달음을 얻게 됐다"고 적었다.
