草木이 纔零落하면 便露萌穎於根底하며
초목 재영락 변로맹영어근저
時序雖凝寒이나 終回陽氣於飛灰하여
시서수응한 종회양기어비회
肅殺之中에 生生之意常爲之主하나니
숙살지중 생생지의상위지주
卽是可以見天地之心이니라
즉시가이견천지지심
초목은 시들어 떨어지면 곧 다시 뿌리에서 새싹이 돋아나고,
계절은 비록 추위로 얼어붙는 겨울이라 해도
그 속에서 봄기운이 돌아온다.
만물을 죽이는 기운 가운데도 자라나게 하는 뜻이 늘 주(主)가 되니,
가히 그로써 천지의 마음을 볼 수 있느니라.
