인생에 주어진 의무는 다른 아무 것도 없다네.

There is no other mission in the life.
그저 행복하라는 한 가지 의무뿐.

There is only one mission: to be happy.
우리는 행복하기 위해 이 세상에 왔지.  

We have come for a happiness.
 
그런데도, 그 온갖 도덕 온갖 계명을 다 갖고서도 사람들은 그다지 행복하진 못하다네.

But, even though people have all moralities and all notes, they are not so happy.
그것은 사람들 스스로가 행복을 만들지 않는 까닭

It is the reason that people don't make happiness themselves.
인간은 선을 행하는 한 누구나 행복에 이르지.  

A person'll surely be happy if he or she do a good.
 
스스로 행복하고 마음속에서 조화를 찾는 한.

As long as we are happy and find the balance in the hearts.
그러니까 사랑을 하는한...

In other words, as long as we love...
사랑은 유일한 가르침

Love is the only lesson.
세상이 우리에게 물려준 단 하나의 교훈이지.  

It is the only lesson that the world has left.
 
예수도, 부처도, 공자도 그렇게 가르쳤다네.  

Christ , Buddah and Confucius had taught it.
 
모든 인간에게 세상에서 한가지 중요한 것은

The most important one thing for all human is
그의 가장 깊은곳 그의 영혼, 그를 사랑하는 능력이라네.  

the ability to love his or her deepest site, he or her spirit, himself or herself
 
보리죽을 떠먹든 맛있는 빵을 먹든

Eat barley gruel or delicious bread
누더기를 걸치든 보석을 휘감든

Put a tatters or jewels
사랑하는 능력이 살아 있는 한  

As long as the ability to love lives,
 
세상은 순수한 영혼의 화음을 울렸고

The world rang pure harmony of  spirits
언제나 좋은 세상, 옳은 세상이었다네
