급격한 환경변화로 인해 지금은 그 모습을 찾아보기 쉽지 않지만
과거 여름밤을 찬란한 불빛으로 수놓던 반딧불이...
6월말(애반딧불이)과 8월말(늦반딧불이)
두 차례에 걸쳐 해가 지면 반짝반짝 빛을 내는데,
이는 사람들 보기에 아름다우라고 내는 것이 아니라
대를 잇기 위해 짝을 만나려는 처절한 몸부림이다.
편리성을 추구하는 도시화로
야간에 인공불빛이 과도해지자 오히려 길을 잃고 방황하는 반딧불이...
우리가 개발의 과정에서 잃은 것은 별빛만이 아니다.
반딧불이의 애절한 사랑을 오래도록 지켜볼 수는 없을까.
